What is an S-Lide sliding deck pool cover?
S-Lide is a motorized sliding deck that moves over the pool and converts the covered area into usable outdoor space. Its aluminum structure can accept compatible deck finishes supplied as part of the overall project design. It is especially attractive for compact yards, plunge pools and projects where usable deck area is a priority.
Can people or furniture be placed on S-Lide?
S-Lide is engineered as a load-supporting sliding deck and can be designed for people and outdoor furniture when closed. Load limits, finish weight, support conditions and operating rules depend on the engineered configuration. Those requirements must be confirmed in the project documents before the deck is used.
How much space does a sliding deck cover require?
The deck needs a clear area into which it can retract, and that space can be substantial. Configuration options may include one-piece, split or telescoping arrangements depending on the project. Pool size, travel direction, surrounding features and structural support determine whether the site is suitable.
